Shelly is a Polestar Principal Educator, having taught for Polestar Education since its inception and currently coordinates the Curriculum Committee. She is the co-founder of Polestar Pilates Center Miami. In Dec 2012, Shelly was elected to the PMA Board of Directors, and currently serves as President.
Shelly is certified in GYROTONIC®, having trained with Angela Crowley and has completed the first year of Franklin-Method® training with Eric Franklin. She has been a member of International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS), is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher. She received her BS degree in Dance from California State University, Sacramento, where she served on the faculty from 1992-1998.
Shelly teaches nationally and internationally for Polestar Pilates Education. Shelly also administers exams, conducts Pilates workshops and Polestar Mentor and Educator trainings worldwide and brings a unique and fresh approach to the work of Joseph Pilates.
Christi's journey in the field of movement began at the age of six. Her passion for movement as an expressive art form and grounding practice of self-discovery led her to become a yoga, Pilates and GYROTONIC® instructor. Christi’s academic career in Spanish literature, philosophy and conflict resolution prepared her for a life in politics. She completed her undergraduate education with a BA in philosophy and Spanish literature at the University of Miami in Florida and studied International Peace Studies at the United Nations mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica.
Finding her vocation in service through movement, Christi decided in 2005 to commit whole-heartedly to the field of movement science. Christi is a bilingual educator for Polestar Education and is the director of Polestar Latin America as well as an education coordinator for Polestar Pilates International based in Miami, FL. Christi oversees developing university relationships with Polestar HQ and has presented the Polestar curriculum at both national and international universities including, University of Miami, FL, New York University, Universidad Catolica in Montevideo, UY, Universidad Catolica and Universidad de Valparaiso in Chile. She was also the winner of the Pilates Anytime Next Instructor in 2013.
A Pilates instructor and entrepreneur who discovered her passion in work that effectively combines her business experience and love for Pilates. As the owner and director of Pilates Education Institute, a teacher training organization with over 50 affiliate studios in more than 10 counties and two Pilates studios in California, Michele has dedicated her professional career to the Pilates industry.
Other professional experiences that have carved out Michele’s unique niche in the Pilates world include traveling to other countries to teach Pilates to students and teachers. She began teaching Pilates 17 years ago, while she was a dance instructor and was certified through the PMA in 2013. In addition to her work in the Pilates industry, Michele has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years having owned and operated multiple studios as well as worked as a consultant for other wellness companies.
Michele resides in central and southern California with her husband of 25 years has one daughter, Clara who is attending college in the beautiful state of Oregon.
Meredith Rogers has been teaching for BASI Pilates since 2006. She is a proud Senior Faculty Member and has taught workshops and courses around the globe. Meredith is continually driven by the opportunity to share her love of the Pilates methoud and the Body Arts and Science technique with students all over the world and loves to watch them integrate the work into their bodies and lives.
Meredith is currently a resident of Santa Barbara, California where she has been teaching at La Playa Pilates and Welness Center since its orgin in 2002. Throughout her career she has had the oppurtunity to work with a variety of students ranging from children to teenage athletes, new mothers, clients wishing to enhance specific sports related endeavors and the elderly population. Meredith is continually excited and inspired by the broad spectrum of the population that Pilates relates to and how it can be tailored to adress individual needs while its principles are infalliable and never changing.
Meredith is also honored to be a regular instutrctor on Pilates Anytime. Being a part of this project has further enabled her share her passion for Pilates with a far wider reach. She feels so blessed to be a part of Pilates Anytime which allows her to spread her love of Pilates and its guiding principles as well as be a part of an organization which strives to deliver quality instruction to its members.

Bernie Nelson, founder of Body & Core Pilates, is certified by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), has completed Pilates programs from all American Pilates, the Kane School of Core Integration for Pilates and Lolita San Miguel Pilates Master. A former collegiate football player for the University of Nebraska at Omaha, he has also held Certification in Personal training from the American Council on Exercise and National Strength and Conditioning Association.
In 2001, after working in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and a Licensed Massage Therapist, Bernie became a Certified Pilates Instructor and opened his first Pilates studio inside Gold’s Gym. With a growing clientele, he opened Body & Core Pilates Studio in 2003, which became the largest Pilates studio in Palm Beach County. Two years later, Bernie began to facilitate the Kane School of Core Integration of New York teacher training program. In 2008, after completing his second Pilates training program, he developed his own Pilates educational program. In 2011, Bernie completed a mentorship program under master and first generation Pilates instructor Lolita San Miguel. Along with Pilates, Bernie has also been a teacher trainer for Redcord, a suspension based exercised training from Norway.
